About Shahrzad

Shahrzad is a renowned dance instructor and performer, specializing in Raqs Sharqi and traditional dance styles from North Africa and the Middle East. With over 20 years of dance training, Shahrzad has captivated audiences globally. She began her dance journey at the age of 11 and quickly rose to prominence in her late teens as a teacher and performer on the US East Coast. Her international acclaim skyrocketed with viral performance videos and instructional DVDs.

In 2015, Shahrzad relocated to Egypt to pursue her dance career full-time, performing at prestigious venues and appearing in films and media. During the pandemic, she launched ‘Shahrzad Studios,’ offering online dance classes, private dance and music programs in Cairo, and immersive tours of Egypt. Today, she balances her time between global workshops, managing her business from Cairo, and performing at exclusive events across Egypt.
