Our Open Level class welcomes dancers with some ballet experience, whether you’re transitioning from the Foundations class or have previous training. In this class, we'll delve into a complete barre routine and move on to combinations au milieu, offering a deeper exploration of ballet technique. The goal is to challenge you with new combinations and improve your artistry, all while maintaining a nurturing and encouraging atmosphere.

SHIRLEY DE MUER
Shirley is an accomplished dance instructor with a rich background in classical ballet. A 2014 graduate of the Royal Ballet School of Antwerp, she has cultivated a deep and versatile understanding of the art, which she passionately shares with her students. Shirley’s education was further enriched through summer programs in prestigious institutions across Europe, including the PNSD Rosella Hightower in Cannes, the Dutch National Ballet in Amsterdam, IB Stage in Barcelona, and Les Étés de la Danse in Paris. These experiences exposed her to a variety of styles and techniques, significantly broadening her artistic perspective.
During her final year at the Royal Ballet School, Shirley had the unique opportunity to apprentice with the Ballet of Flanders, where she participated in productions like Romeo & Juliet and Beyond the Tutu. This professional experience honed her artistic vision and provided her with a deeper understanding of the demands of a ballet career.
As a teacher, Shirley strives to instill not only technical proficiency but also a deep passion for dance in her students. Her teaching approach is both challenging and nurturing, focusing on developing a solid technical foundation, musicality, and expressiveness. Whether she’s working with beginners or advanced dancers, Shirley is dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential while fostering a lifelong love for the art of dance.
